Our Commitment to Recommended Immunizations
At Cedar Park Pediatric and Family Medicine, we believe vaccines are one of the most important health interventions we provide as pediatric providers. Vaccines prevent serious illness, promote long-term health, and save lives.
We trust the safety and effectiveness of vaccines and follow the immunization schedule published by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). We recommend that all children and young adults receive the full series of recommended vaccines according to this schedule.
We do not recommend breaking up vaccinations into multiple visits. The recommended schedule is designed to provide the highest level of protection with the fewest injections possible while maintaining safety and comfort. All vaccines should be completed by the time of the next routine well child visit.
Our Practice Policy
Because of our strong commitment to immunization, families must agree to follow the recommended vaccine schedule in order to establish or maintain care at our practice. If a family chooses not to immunize or is unwilling to follow the recommended schedule, Cedar Park Pediatric and Family Medicine may not be the right fit.
We continue to care for patients with documented medical exemptions, including immunocompromised conditions or confirmed adverse reactions to vaccines that prevent completion of the standard schedule.
