Is there a Board-Certified Pediatrician that you would like meet? If you would like to schedule a virtual meeting with one of our Pediatricians to see if they are the best fit for you family, you can request a complimentary Prenatal Visit with the pediatrician of your choice.
Our Newborn 101 Class discusses everything you need to know from the moment your baby is born and beyond.
This is a free class led by one of our Board-Certified Pediatricians and gives you the opportunity to prepare, learn more and ask questions to a medical professional.
When you are admitted to the hospital, let them know that “Cedar Park Pediatric & Family Medicine” will be your baby’s Pediatrician, or you may also name any one of our Doctor’s that you choose.
If you deliver at North Austin Medical Center, the Pediatrician on call will come visit your baby every day in the hospital (they can call us when your baby is born).
If you deliver at one of the other local hospitals, the Pediatrician on-staff at that hospital will take care of your baby while you are there.
When your baby is discharged, call us at (512) 336-2777 and we will get your baby registered and set up your first appointment with us within 24-48 hours.
Your first visit will be within 1 to 3 days of your newborn’s life.
Please arrive for your first appointment 15 minutes early to ensure we have all your registration completed before your appointment.
All newborn are offered a latch consultation with our International Board Certified Lactation Consultation (IBC-LC) that we have on staff at no cost. We also have a full Breastfeeding Support Center including a monthly Breastfeeding Support Group led by one of our Pediatricians and IBC-LC, Dr. Moore.
Important Reminder: After your baby is born, please make sure you call your insurance company or your HR Department and get your baby added to your policy within the first 30 days of life. You will want to bring your insurance card with you to your first appointment, so we have everything we need to submit your baby’s claims after you have added baby to your plan.

Much is still unknown about the risks of COVID-19 to the pregnancy and to the baby.
Mother-to-child transmission of COVID-19 during pregnancy is unlikely. However, after birth, a newborn can be infected after being in close contact with an infected person, including the baby’s mother or other caregivers.
It is important to take care of yourself and your baby during pregnancy and after delivery.
Do not skip your prenatal care appointments or postpartum appointments. If you are concerned about attending your appointment due to COVID-19, please call us. Also, do not delay getting emergency care because of COVID-19.
